Description
Embark, with the aim of reaching the mythical Glénan Archipelago!
Boarding at 2:00 p.m. & Landing at 4:00 p.m.
Departing from the port of Douarnenez, join the crew of the Grayhound for a coastal navigation with the aim of reaching the Glénan.
The professional crew will guide you in the navigation aboard a traditional ship, as well as in the handling of our rowboats to discover the land more closely.
The Glénan, this unmissable string of islets, just like that of the Bréhat archipelago, is located 10 nautical miles south of the town of Fouesnant in Finistère.
In the 15th century, the archipelago was an interesting shelter for privateers practicing privateering. As soon as a war is declared, outlaws come to hide on these islands.
Of course, the ship will visit the Glénan Islands if the weather conditions allow it, which is generally the case at this time of year. If not, the rest of the Breton coast is also full of mystery, and the crew will be happy to help you discover it!
We are now mainly sailing in French waters, therefore the main language on board is French. Most of the professional crew is able to speak both English and French.
